SCHOOL HEALTHCARE RESPONDER

WORKSHOP TOPICS

• Treatment of injuries and illnesses seen in the office and by coaches.

• Bloodborne Pathogens Update to include OSHA requirements and SCISA ACCREDITATION REQUIREMENTS regarding staff and faculty training.

• Proper handling of psycho pharmaceuticals and all controlled substances.

Medical forms will be reviewed and shared.The very important issue of SCHOOL COMMUNICATIONS will be included.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

We strongly recommend that schools send at least two representatives, one from the office and one from the athletic department. The attendee will be trained to teach faculty & staff at your school the Bloodborne Pathogens Training required by FEDERAL LAW and SCISA ACCREDITATION STANDARDS. Because many schools do not employ school nurses, proper training of responders is very important.
